We need to talk ... about Moyano el Buffalo.
Moyano's music career began at the age of 7. His formative years saw him learning the piano but it was at age 13, inspired by his father and grandfather, both working drummers, that everything fell into place and Moyano's passion for the drums was born.
As a teenager, Moyano performed with numerous bands and artists in Spain, before relocating to London to study drums at the renowned Institute of Contemporary Music Performance.
Moyano has since shared the stage with such prominent musicians as Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal (Guns N' Roses), Marco Mendoza (Whitesnake, The Dead Daisies), Richie Faulkner (Judas Priest), Davey Rimmer (Uriah Heep) Tony Parsons (Iron Maiden) and Doogie White (Rainbow/Michael Schenker/Yngwie Malmsteen). He and Matt have shared the stage many times, principally as the rhythm section for Shot Through the Heart, London's premier 80s hard rock, metal & AOR night. Here they are in action, with a take on Winger classic 'Hungry':
Recognition for Moyano’s drumming has also come from Natal Drums, Paiste Cymbals, Code Drum Heads, Pellwood Sticks and SkyGel, all of whom endorse him.
Moyano's hard rock edge brings so much energy to the new HeKz album, and he certainly isn't afraid to crank up the "prog dial" and lean into some snaking time signature changes and tasty fills! Here he is in action, recording his performance for the first single from 'TERRA NOVA':
